    Itinerary

    Departure

05:30 AM: Departure from the hotel. The way to Luxor takes approximately 4.5 hours.

8:30 AM: Arrival in the Nile Valley, where you’ll witness authentic Egyptian life.

    9:30 AM: Arrival in Luxor.

    Upon Arrival in Luxor

Upon arrival in Luxor, the first part of the program begins with a visit to the “City of the Living” on the eastern bank of the Nile. You’ll explore the Karnak Temple, the largest architectural structure of the ancient world and one of the largest temple complexes globally. The Karnak Temple was built over the reigns of around 30 pharaohs, who contributed temples, pylons, chapels, and obelisks dedicated to the gods of Thebes. The temple consists of three major structures and several smaller temples within the main area. Lunch will be served buffet-style at a local restaurant (drinks not included).

    City of the Dead

Next, you’ll take a boat across the Nile to the western bank, the “City of the Dead,” where the second part of the tour will take place. You’ll visit the western bank and the Valley of the Kings. The tour begins with the Colossi of Memnon, two enormous statues standing 18 meters tall and weighing over 700 tons each. You will then proceed through the Valley of the Dead and visit the temple of the Pharaoh-Queen Hatshepsut. The temple is renowned for its three-tiered terraces, each featuring an open courtyard, covered chambers with pilasters, and sanctuaries hidden deep within the mountain. Hatshepsut is one of the most famous figures in ancient Egyptian history, often referred to as the Iron Lady. You’ll also visit the Valley of the Kings, a rocky gorge in Egypt where the tombs for pharaohs and high-ranking officials of the New Kingdom were constructed. The Valley of the Kings became particularly famous after the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb. There are over 60 tombs in the Valley of the Kings. After this, you can enjoy a boat ride on the Nile with an optional visit to Banana Island for an additional fee
