    1:00 AM: Departure from the hotel. The way to Cairo takes about 5 hours. Along the way, you’ll pass by the Red Sea coast

    The Egyptian Museum

    8:30 AM: Arrival in Cairo, one of Africa’s most populous cities. Your visit begins with the Egyptian Museum, home to a vast collection of Egyptian antiquities. The museum boasts over a hundred halls filled with unique artifacts, some dating back nearly five thousand years. You’ll see statues of the most famous pharaohs, including Cheops, Khafre, Menkaure, Hatshepsut, Akhenaten, and more. The museum also houses the golden sarcophagi, statues, and treasures from Tutankhamun’s tomb. Optional Nile River cruise (+$10).

    The Great Pyramids and Sphinx

    After lunch, you’ll visit Egypt’s most iconic landmarks: the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx. While Egypt has over 100 pyramids, the Pyramids of Giza are the most famous, considered the first of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Giza, a suburb of Cairo, is renowned worldwide. You’ll also visit a papyrus museum, where you’ll learn about the ancient art of papyrus making, or explore a perfume and oil factory.
