    Itinerary

    Departure

4:30 AM: Departure from the hotel. The way to Luxor takes approximately 4.5 hours.

8:30 AM: Arrival in the Nile Valley, where you’ll witness authentic Egyptian life.

    9:30 AM: Arrival in Luxor.

    Upon Arrival in Luxor

Upon arrival in Luxor, the first part of the program begins with a visit to the “City of the Living” on the eastern bank of the Nile. You’ll explore the Karnak Temple, the largest architectural structure of the ancient world and one of the largest temple complexes globally. The Karnak Temple was built over the reigns of around 30 pharaohs, who contributed temples, pylons, chapels, and obelisks dedicated to the gods of Thebes. The temple consists of three major structures and several smaller temples within the main area. Lunch will be served buffet-style at a local restaurant (drinks not included).

    City of the Dead

Next, you’ll take a boat across the Nile to the western bank, the “City of the Dead,” where the second part of the program will take place. You’ll visit the western bank and the Valley of the Dead. The tour begins with the Colossi of Memnon, two enormous statues standing 18 meters high and weighing over 700 tons each. You’ll then proceed through the Valley of the Dead and visit the temple of the Pharaoh-Queen Hatshepsut. The temple’s main architectural feature is its three-tiered terraces, each with an open courtyard, covered chambers with pilasters, and sanctuaries hidden deep within the mountain. Hatshepsut is one of the most renowned figures in ancient Egyptian history, known as the Iron Lady. Afterward, you can enjoy a boat ride on the Nile with an optional visit to Banana Island for an additional fee of $10.

    Return

The tour concludes, and you will head back to the hotel.

9:00 PM: Return to the hotel.
