    Tour Details

This tour offers a quick and comfortable journey from Sharm El Sheikh to Luxor, the world’s largest open-air museum. You’ll explore famous temples, the Valley of the Queens, and magnificent monuments, all while learning about the rich history of this ancient land.

Luxor is home to some of Egypt’s most important archaeological sites. Due to its wealth of ancient monuments, tourism plays a vital role in the city, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors each year.

Since Luxor can only be reached by car from Hurghada, we recommend taking a flight from Sharm El Sheikh.

    Itinerary

    Departure

Early morning hotel pickup around 4:00 AM (exact time provided upon booking). The flight to Luxor takes about 1.5 hours.

    Upon Arrival in Luxor

Upon arrival, you will visit the “City of the Living” on the east bank of the Nile. This includes a tour of the Karnak Temple, one of the largest ancient religious sites in the world. Over 30 pharaohs contributed to its construction. Afterward, enjoy a buffet lunch at a local restaurant (drinks not included).

    City of the Dead

Next, you’ll take a boat across the Nile to the western bank, the “City of the Dead,” where the second part of the tour will take place. You’ll visit the western bank and the Valley of the Kings. The tour begins with the Colossi of Memnon, two enormous statues standing 18 meters tall and weighing over 700 tons each. You will then proceed through the Valley of the Dead and visit the temple of the Pharaoh-Queen Hatshepsut. The temple is renowned for its three-tiered terraces, each featuring an open courtyard, covered chambers with pilasters, and sanctuaries hidden deep within the mountain. Hatshepsut is one of the most famous figures in ancient Egyptian history, often referred to as the Iron Lady. You’ll also visit the Valley of the Kings, a rocky gorge in Egypt where the tombs for pharaohs and high-ranking officials of the New Kingdom were constructed. The Valley of the Kings became particularly famous after the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb. There are over 60 tombs in the Valley of the Kings. After this, you can enjoy a boat ride on the Nile with an optional visit to Banana Island for an additional fee of $10.
