2:00 AM: Departure from the hotel. The drive to Cairo takes about 5 hours, during which you’ll pass by the Red Sea coast.
8:30 AM: Arrive in Cairo, one of Africa’s largest and most populous cities. Visit the Egyptian Museum, home to a vast collection of ancient artifacts. The museum features over a hundred rooms filled with unique exhibits dating back nearly 5,000 years. You’ll see statues of famous pharaohs such as Khufu, Khafre, Menkaure, Hatshepsut, Akhenaten, and more, along with golden sarcophagi, statues, and treasures from the tomb of Tutankhamun.
Enjoy a buffet lunch (drinks not included). Afterward, visit Egypt’s most iconic symbols—the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx. Though Egypt boasts over 100 pyramids, the Pyramids of Giza are the most famous and are considered the first wonder of the ancient world. Giza, a suburb of Cairo, is renowned worldwide. You’ll also visit the Papyrus Museum, where you’ll learn about ancient papyrus-making techniques, or an essential oil and fragrance factory.
