Tiran Island is located in Sharm El Sheikh, a popular resort city on the Red Sea coast in Egypt. Situated in the northeastern part of the Red Sea, this island is a favorite destination for tourists visiting Sharm El Sheikh.
The island is known for its stunning natural beauty and rich underwater life. It’s part of the Ras Mohammed National Marine Park, one of the most beautiful spots for snorkeling and diving. The area is filled with coral reefs, attracting divers and snorkelers from around the world.
In the past, Tiran Island was a subject of territorial disputes between Egypt and Saudi Arabia. However, in 2017, the island was officially transferred to Saudi Arabia following extensive negotiations between the two countries.
During the tour, you’ll also get to see the main coastline of Sharm El Sheikh and the wreck of the Cypriot merchant ship “Lara,” which sank on a reef between the coast and the island in 1985.
